I hope to do my best to help Hospice Care and stand with terminally ill patients and their families.
When we learned a family member had end-stage renal disease, our family felt a surge of anxiety, especially when his condition worsened or when we had to make decisions for him. The anxiety grew, fearing that the decision wouldn't be the best for the patient. I'm grateful for the doctors, nurses, nurses, and social workers who accompanied me throughout my journey, patiently explaining the condition and caring for me. I gradually learned about palliative care, and I'm grateful for the support of my family. Gradually, my stress and emotions have eased. Sometimes, I hear that some caregivers are overwhelmed and may not be able to cope. I hope to do my part to support Hospice and stand by our patients and their families.
